Hi, I’m Maycee!
I am a native SoCal soul raised in beautiful middle Tennessee. I’m a wife to the raddest husband and a mama to four of the wildest and sweetest boys, with our fifth and first daughter arriving in March 2025! When I’m not homeschooling, traveling, hiking, or making new friends, I’m diving deep into my passion for the sovereignty of birth and the transformative impact it has on women and families—both present and future.
My journey into birth advocacy began when I became pregnant at 16 and experienced firsthand the lack of support and consent many women, especially those in vulnerable situations, face during pregnancy. This experience led me to pursue training as a birth doula and ignited my passion for helping women from all walks of life feel empowered and supported throughout their pregnancy and birth journey.
As a mother of five, I’ve personally navigated different birth experiences, which has only strengthened my commitment to ensuring every woman receives the care she deserves. I understand the profound impact that compassionate, personalized, and informed support can have. I am dedicated to advocating fiercely for women and families, ensuring that every woman’s voice is heard, her choices are respected, and she walks away from her birth experience feeling strong, confident, and proud of the journey she’s been on.
I aim to combine my personal journey with professional knowledge to help you feel empowered and supported throughout your pregnancy and birth—being the friend you lean on, laugh with, cry with, and share all the in-betweens with during your journey of pregnancy, birth, and beyond!
Hi, I’m Heather!
Birth and babies have always held a special place in my heart since I was a little girl. I used to pretend to be a mama, dreaming about having babies, and watching countless episodes of A Baby Story with my mom. I now realize that’s where the seed for birth work was planted.
In 2021, I took the step of becoming a Doula in the beautiful land of Zambia, Africa, surrounded by the most wonderful people. It was here that I had the privilege of supporting my first birth—a powerful moment that ignited a passion I know has been with me since childhood. Being a Doula, advocating for women, and ensuring they experience the most empowering and beautiful birth possible is a gift I hold dear. Since that first birth in Zambia, I’ve walked alongside countless women throughout their pregnancies, offering support, guidance, and love and I’m humbled to be able to do that through For Such A Time as Birth and the woman who will trust me to be part of their journey, helping them embrace the strength and beauty of their birth experience. It is truly an honor to be a guiding presence for women during such a transformative time.

Behind Our Name
For Such a Time as Birth is inspired by Esther 4:14, a powerful verse that speaks to purpose, timing, and divine calling. Just as Esther was placed in her moment of influence ‘for such a time as this,’ our business was created to honor the sacred and intentional nature of birth. It’s a reminder that every birth, every mother, every baby and every story unfolds right on time—with meaning, strength, and purpose woven into each moment.
Having Maycee by my side during my home birth was everything I didn’t know I needed. She moved so naturally in the space—bringing calm, comfort, and confidence to every moment. Whether it was rubbing my back, whispering encouragement, or gently guiding my breath, she knew exactly what I needed without me having to say a word. It felt like having a best friend and sacred support all in one. I’ve never felt so held.
